Tallulah Falls Camping Weekend

In September, Maggie, Kevin, and I were excited to squeeze in a camping trip to Tallulah Falls!  None of us had been there before so it was a fun place to explore.

On our way, we drove past Jaemor Farm and decided to turn around to check it out.  We had a blast!  Ate some lemon ice cream and fried peach pie, took a hay ride around the farm, and rode the super farm slide I was dying to try!

This kid sprayed the slide with silicone lubricant after Maggie and I went so that people would go faster - Kevin was the first one to go and he flew!  there were sparks...

Our great campsite on the river!

This was the highlight of the trip!  I had seen something Tallulah Fall's website talking about a bluegrass get-together every Saturday, so we were able to find out from some locals where it was.  Walking up on it we didn't know what to think - it really had the feel of a small town church gathering and we felt a little out of place!  But the music picked up, we made some friends with the locals including the mayor, and we enjoyed a potluck dinner and roasted the biggest marshmallows we've ever seen.  We seriously felt like a part of the community by the time we left!

Before we left the next day we went to see the falls.  We really hope to get back up there soon to do some hiking and go for some more bluegrass!!
