This Christmas, my dad's good friend Ken gifted my dad with the very first shotgun he had as a kid. My dad is a talented musician, the sweetest husband, and the best dad a girl could imagine, but hunter, fixer-upper, and other boy-like things he is not. He has shot a gun before I'm sure, but he grew up mostly with his mom in the city, so he doesn't have a whole lot of experience with all the boy things like shooting guns. My husband, on the other hand, probably has too much boy in him! So when we were at my parents' house a couple weekends ago Kevin took my dad out on the deck and taught him how to shoot! Mom and I probably ruined their moment a little by rushing out on the deck giggling with our cameras in hand. It made for a funny memory, and it was quite odd seeing my dad holding a gun! Odd, yet sweet watching my husband teach my dad how to shoot :)
You are the best daughter a mother or father could ever ask for. Yes, it was fun to watch your daddy even hold a gun, let alone, fire one! LOL
